Created by friends Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, Six unfolds as part musical, part all-out pop performance driven by the vocally diverse cast. Each of the six wives, categorised by childhood slogan “divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived”, take centre stage to tell their story. Ultimately, they declare themselves more than a rhyme, and more than just the wives of an infamous King. The one off production combines pop and hip-hop style with the tale of the six ill-fated wives of King Henry VIII. You all know the refrain, “Divorced, Beheaded, Died…” and so on, but in this recreation we actually get to learn about the personalities behind the failed marriages. The music of Six is inspired by female pop icons including Ariana Grande, Adele, Rihanna, and Beyonce. Each of the wives each emulate an incredible pop-star, and together they form the most royal of girl-groups…well, if those had existed in the 1500s! And what’s more, come down to the world famous Lena Horne Theatre in New York for an unforgettable night of elite entertainment!
